Our new base of operations is in the Chanin Building, which stands in the famous Midtown skyline. Here’s a few quick, fun facts about this historically rich landmark:
- The building was made in the Art Deco style, which was popular at the time of the building’s construction.
- When it was erected in 1929, the Chanin was the third tallest building in the world.
- The architect of the building, Irwin S. Chanin, began as a poor immigrant who eventually found success in America. Set designers crafted the lobbies’ designs to represent “The City of Opportunity” and “The Active Life of the Individual” (a reference to Irwin S. Chanin’s personal story).
- There used to be a 200-seat theater on the 50th and 51st floors.
